Saraki, Tambuwal, other decampees bad eggs – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday described those who dumped All Progressives Party (APC) as bad eggs, saying “with God’s aid, they will continue to be fished out one after another.”

Buhari said this at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi during the campaign rally of Honourable Gumau Lawal Yahaya who is flying the APC flag for the Bauchi South Senatorial District bye-elections for the August 11 poll.

This is coming barely 24 hours the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed and Co decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

READ: Saraki had accused APC cabals of trying to enslave the senate, while Tambuwal accused Buhari of conspiracy to split the country.

The President told supporters not to panic by the recent defections in the party adding that his government had remained faithful in the implementation of its campaign.

‘‘Like we promised, what will determine a good future for the country are security, strong economy and to stop corruption.

“The work we are doing is because of God, our country and you. I want to inform you that the knowledge we have garnered over the years, we won’t allow you to be cheated.

“We campaigned on these things, you voted for us and we will never forget,” Buhari added.
