Honourable Chisom Promie Dike, the lawmaker representing Eleme, Tai and Oyigbo federal Constituency of Rivers State, has met with HRM Eze A. N. Nwaeke over the tragic pipeline fire in Komkom community of Rivers State.
Dike’s presence at the monarch’s abode was part of the House of Representatives’ investigative committee to the area. Dike had earlier visited the area to commiserate with victims and survivors of the explosions within days of the incident.
Recall the House had ordered a probe into the deadly fire after Dike moved a motion to that effect.

During the latest visit, Dike thanked Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila for ordering a probe into the incident. Dike is part of the investigative committee which has been mandated to report to the House within four weeks of launching the probe.
“I want to use this opportunity to urge our people to continue to follow the path of peace,” Dike said after meeting the monarch.
Dike had urged that the corporations and agencies allegedly responsible for the neglect that led to the deadly explosion be made to compensate the victims and survivors.
HRM Eze A. N. Nwaeke also sued for calm, peace and justice.
