Former CNN journalist Isha Sesay has reacted to the Nigerian government’s reaction to her book on Chibok Girls.
Sesay is the author of “Beneath The Tamarind Tree”, a new book about the kidnapping of 270 Chibok schoolgirls in Nigeria.
The President-Muhammadu-Buhari-led Nigerian government said it welcomed the book, which it tagged “a farrago of misrepresentations”, with reservations.
Sesay served her own response after The Realm News tagged her on Twitter.
“This is not the first time the government of Nigeria and I have disagreed on the issue of the abducted Chibok girls,” Sesay said quoting The Realm News’ tweet.
“So I guess it would be fair to say there is nothing new about their reaction to my work.
“But I do appreciate their statement, especially the word ‘farrago’.”
